Watervliet Sets Sights on Downtown Revitalization

The City of Watervliet is proud to announce its intent to apply for funding through New York State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) and/or NY Forward (NYF) program. These highly competitive state programs are designed to accelerate revitalization and economic development in downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts through strategic public and private investments.

With a focus on transformative, shovel-ready projects, DRI and NYF investments have helped dozens of communities across New York realize lasting improvements in infrastructure, housing, public spaces, and business development. Watervliet is now working to prepare a compelling application that reflects our community’s needs and vision for the future.
