  • The City Council meetings are scheduled for the first and third Thursday's of every month unless noted below. Meetings are held at the J. Leo O'Brien Senior Center located at 1501 Broadway and begin at 7:00PM

***The City Council meetings dates for April have been changed to Thursday, April 10th and Thursday, April 24th. Both meetings will begin at 7:00PM and will be held at the Senior Center***

Watervliet Public Library Releases Programming Survey

In order to better serve its patrons the Watervliet Public Library has created a programming survey asking what types of programs people would like to see at the library.

Reminder: Spring Bulk Week Pick-ups Begin April 28th

The Refuse & Recycling Department would like to remind residents that the week of April 28th has been designated as Spring Bulk Week in the City. During this week residents of the City may discard their bulk items at no charge.

Friday Pick-ups of Lawn & Leaf Bags Has Begun

The Refuse & Recycling department would like to remind residents that they have begun picking up lawn and leaf bags on Friday's and will continue to do so through the first week of December.

Bags may be placed out on Thursday evenings and residents are reminded that branches must be cut and bundled into 4-foot lengths.

City Council to Hold Public Hearing

The Watervliet City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 10th as part of the regularly scheduled meeting at the J. Leo O'Brien Senior Center. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM

The public hearing will be held for the purpose of hearing those who wish to be heard regarding a proposed resolution entitled "Redefining the Boundaries of the Hudson-Mohawk Urban Cultural Park". This is also known as "RiverSpark".
